An outline for obtaining your NYS License to Guide-
1. Prerequisites
a. Adult CPR
b. Standard First Aid
c. Basic Water Safety
d. Physicians statement of physical fitness
2. Obtain application from DEC- use link below
a. complete application and submit with payment to DEC
3. Print NYSOGA Rendezvous registration form
a. complete form and submit it with full payment
4. Come to NYSOGA Rendezvous and take your training and/or exams
5. Folowing your exams you will be notified of your testing results by DEC. Following that you will need to present
to DEC your CPR, First Aid and Water Safety cards along with any other outstanding prerequisites and your licensing fees.
6. Once processed you will then receive your License to Guide.
